The Problem
Real-world data (RWD), such as electronic health records (EHR), hold immense potential to accelerate medical discovery and product development. Yet, technical complexities, prohibitive costs, and a shortage of specialized talents prevent researchers from harnessing its full power.
Collaborative Research Engine
We build a collaborative space where clinical scientists, data scientists, and data providers work together on selected, high-quality research manuscripts initiated from our academic partners.
We foster shared interests and build connections between industry and academia.
We offer hands-on training for graduate students, medical fellows, and junior investigators on designing and conducting real-world data studies.
We develop algorithms and tools for EHR data standardization, quality assessment, and analytics.

Our Work
For Researchers
We evaluate manuscript proposals from researchers on collaboration and use of our data. We will offer data as well as study design and analytics support.
For Corporate Sponsors
Sponsors can submit research topics of their interests, and we will select the right team to conduct the research.
For Individuals
Individuals such as clinicians and patients are welcome to submit research questions, and we will select the ones with the most interests to answer.
Past and Ongoing Projects
Stroke After Ocular Event
An ocular event is often followed by a stroke. This research describes timing of a stroke after an ocular event and identifies risk factors for developing stroke among patients who had an ocular event.
Anti-Psychosis Drug Effect on Mortality of Alzheimer's Disease
The development of Alzheimer can be fatal as senior patients are susceptible to other comorbidities. Anti-psychosis drugs are sometimes used to treat AD as a way to help improve cognition. We studied how use of anti-psychosis drugs impacts mortality of patients with Alzheimer's disease.
Metformin Prescription Pattern in Prediabetes Patients
We studied the pattern of prescription, discontinuation, and reinitiation of metformin among prediabetes patients.
